R/Me Interupter
Hey all,
I am thinking of combining these two interupters. I havn't had the pleasure to play these or grasp them. I was wondering if anyone could at least point me to the tried and true interupters of each class..

I believe there's an interrupter build in the "mesmer basics" topic. As for ranger, the only interrupts they have is interrupting shot and punishing shot (which is elite, too), which are both inferior to the mesmer abilities. Mesmer primaries have around 11 more energy because of their caster weapons, as well as 1 extra energy regen then ranger.

Rangers have more interrupts than just that. Savage Shot also interrupts spells, as does Choking Gas and Incendiary Arrows (Which interrupts everything). Concussion Shot interrupts spells and Dazes. Furthemore, Mesmer skills only interrupt spells, whereas Distracting Shot and Incendiary Arrows interrupt anything at all. Furthermore, a Ranger with Echoed Debilitating Shot and Quickening Zephyr or Serpent's Quickness will drain energy from a target as far if not faster than a Mesmer.
Don't underestimate a Ranger interrupter/denier.

However casters seem to depend on skills, whereas warriors and rangers are hard enough to interrupt (let alone with a bow). Never mind me, i'm just overzealous about cookie cutter builds.

I'm pretty sure Savage Shot interrupts anything as well, but only does bonus damage if it interrupts a spell. Am I reading it wrong?

Yeah, you got it right. What i'm saying is casters do huge things with their skills, interrupting them is what most interrupters do anyway. Warriors and rangers' attack skills are almost instant, so it's hard to interrupt them, and they won't be particularly weakened if you do manage to interrupt and disable.

Im having so much fun with this toon. Wanted to come back and say thanks..
Female Ranger lvl 14
Troll Ungent
Backfire
Empathy
Distracting Shot - long castin skills (heal sig - ground pound)
Power Leak
Apply Poison
Energy Tap
Res Sig
Im a PvEer
basically with this build I carefully select my targets and hit em were it counts.. poison arrows is my only damage source really other than empathy or backfire... have no real issues with mana at all just keep a tight rotation of energy tap and your good to go... leanin towards a domination/wildernes build...
